ACUMEN Music expert on Great Escape panel!

Brighton hosted the Great Escape again this year and ACUMEN BUSINESS LAW show cased their new Media & Entertainment department at the legal panel on Saturday 15th May at the Dome.  The theme of the l panel was largely based on the hugely contentious 360 so called multi rights deals. Other issues bought to the fore were “How can artists can get synchronisation licenses ”,  The future of Spotify and Mog  in terms of VC funding and royalty payments,  how can copyright law keep up with the rapidly changing technology and of course the Digital Economy Bill.

There was a large international contingency at The GE this year with high profile given to the Canadian and Australian delegates showing the move in the industry towards developing “Live” across international boundaries. On the home front bands such as The Mirrors, The 123’s, Chew Lips and The X-Certs were amongst the best!
