ACUMEN BUSINESS LAW shortlisted for 2 awards in the Sussex Business Awards!

ACUMEN BUSINESS LAW has been named as a finalist for both the Innovation in Business Award and the Award for Best Customer Service in Sussex. Our own Penina Shepherd was shortlisted for Sussex Business Person of the Year!

The award for Innovation in Business recognises ACUMEN BUSINESS LAW’s dynamic approach to providing legal services in a way which is revolutionary in the legal profession.  In a bold move in the legal industry, ACUMEN BUSINESS LAW scrapped the hourly rate system and operates a fixed fee-pricing model, thus removing the “open cheque system” used by commercial lawyers.

The award for Best Customer Service in Sussex complements our ethos to be approachable, accessible and unpretentious and highlights the strong relationships formed between our staff and clients through our unique approach to providing legal services.   Our innovative FREE Legal MOT enables clients to meet with a commercial solicitor, at no charge, to discuss the legal aspects of their business.  This provides us with an excellent insight into our client’s business and the opportunity to forge those all important business relationships with our clients.

We are proud that our MD, Penina Shepherd, is listed amongst those high profile business people to win Sussex Business Person of the Year. This is a well worthy nomination reflecting her innovative approach in creating a truly different and successful Business Law Firm.

The ceremony took place on the 6th November 2009 at the Grand Hotel Brighton.
