How to Speak Legalese

Ever puzzled over Latin? Ever wondered how lawyers talk to each other in the office? Well, here are some useful phrases in Latin so you too can join in the legalese!!……

Calvo turpuis est nihil comato= Nothing is uglier than a bald man with hair.

Ad eundum quo nemo ante iit = To boldly go where no man has gone before.

Braccae illae virides cum subucula rosea et tunica Caledonia-quam elenganter concinnatur! = Those green pants go so well with that pink shirt and the plaid jacket.

Di! Ecce hora! Uxor mea me necabit!= God, look at the time! My wife will kill me!

Feles mala! Cur cista non uteris? Stramentum novum in ea pousi = Bad kitty! Why don’t you use the cat box? I put new litter in it.

Laborare non amo = I do not like to work.
Macdonaldus Senex fundum habuit. E-I-E-I-O. Et in hot fundo nonnullas boves domesticas habuitt. E-I-E-O. Cum moo moo hic, et cum moo moo ibi. Hic una moo, ibi una moo, ubique una moo moo. acdonaldus Senex fundum habuit. E-I-E-I-O = Old MacDonald had a farm. And on this farm he had some cows. EM-I-E-I-O. With a moo here, and a moo moo here. Here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo. Old MacDonald had a farm. E-I-E-I-O.

Monstra mihi pecuniam! = Show me the money!

Nunc prehende uxore meam…sis!= Take my wife….please!

Recedite, plebes! Gero rem imperialem!= Stand aside plebians! I am on imperial business.

Semper ubi sub ubi = Always wear underwear.
